Geneva Cabinet Company would like to congratulate Sara Brautigam, CKD for her earned Certified Bath Designer status from the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA), the leading trade association for the industry.
In order to set industry standards for excellence in design, NKBA offers its members a way to advance their skills with continuing education and certification. To be eligible to enter the Certified Bath Designer (CBD) designation program, a designer must have at least three years of design experience. The CBD program also requires a minimum of 7 years of industry experience and 60 hours of NKBA professional development, each certification candidate must take exams including drawing and written testing.

Kreamer, Pennsylvania – Wood-Mode, Inc., the nation’s largest independently owned manufacturer if fine custom cabinetry, has received certification in the Environmental Stewardship Program (“ESP”) by the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturer’s Association (KCMA).
Introduced in 2006, KCMA's Environmental Stewardship Program was created to recognize industry manufacturers who engage in the use of environmentally material and manufacturing processes. To qualify for and maintain certification, manufacturers are evaluated annually on compliances in five categories, including air quality, product resource management, process resource management, environmental stewardship and community relations.

Geneva Cabinet Company Associates Earn Industry Honors
Peggy Helgeson and Sara Brautigam Earn Leading Trade Certification
Lake Geneva, WI, January 25, 2008 - Geneva Cabinet Company announced that associates Peggy Helgeson and Sara Brautigam earned their designations as Certified Kitchen Designers (CKD) from the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), the leading trade association for the industry.
The hallmark for kitchen and bath professionals, NKBA Certification is based on written examinations and industry experience. NKBA Certified Designers must also meet mandatory continuing education requirements annually. To earn CKD certification, the professional must document a minimum of seven years of industry experience, successfully complete 60 NKBA Education hours, submit two professional affidavits and two client referrals and pass the design portion of the NKBA Certification exam.
This combination of on-site experience and continuing education ensures that Ms. Helgeson and Ms. Brautigam are authorities on the design, planning and execution of residential kitchens. A member of NKBA with a degree in computer drafting, Peggy Helgeson serves as General Manager at Geneva Cabinet Company, Lake Geneva’s premier provider of kitchen, bath and bar area design services and quality countertops and cabinetry. Sara Brautigam serves as one of the company’s top designers. Opens in Lake Geneva
A new custom cabinet company has all the latest in cabinet design and accessories in their new showroom. Each display area features industry names like Wood-Mode, Brookhaven, Medallion, Cole & Taylor, Kohler, Native Trails, Newport Brass, Corian, Sub-Zero, Wolf, Zodiaq and many other high-end products.
Geneva Cabinet Company opened in the Lake Geneva area to service the many customers and building contractors that are building and remodeling in southeastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois. The new custom cabinet store is offering special Builder's Programs for contractors in the area.
General Manager, Peggy Helgeson, says, "Designing is our passion. We value each and every customer and the relationships that develop from our joint efforts.
